JAMES VERGARA serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Greenday Finance LLC (GDF), where he leads the company’s financial strategy, capital formation, and operational performance. In this role, he is responsible for aligning financial resources with GDF’s growth objectives while ensuring disciplined capital management and enterprise efficiency.

Prior to joining GDF, James held dual roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Home Run Financing, one of the nation’s leading providers of residential Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing. There, he oversaw the firm’s credit, underwriting, servicing, technology, and capital markets functions—successfully executing four rated securitizations of residential PACE assets and securing multiple institutional financing facilities.

Earlier in his career, James was instrumental in launching the Spruce PACE program at Spruce Finance, further establishing his expertise in clean energy finance. He began his career on Wall Street, holding investment banking and trading roles at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, and Deutsche Bank. James holds a degree from the University of Pennsylvania and brings a strong track record of leadership at the intersection of finance, energy, and innovation.
