Mikey Taylor
Retired Professional Skateboarder, Serial Entrepreneur and City Council Member

MIKEY TAYLOR is a Southern California native, retired professional skateboarder, serial entrepreneur, and city council member of his hometown.
As a former pro skateboarder, Mikey left his mark on the sport, competing in elite events like the X Games. Transitioning to entrepreneurship, Mikey saw potential in the craft beer industry and co-founded Saint Archer Brewery, combining his skateboarding-inspired marketing expertise. The brewery quickly became one of California’s fastest-growing, eventually being acquired by Molson/Coors.
After this success, Mikey pivoted to commercial real estate and founded Commune Capital, a private equity firm with a mission to positively impact cities through infrastructure projects. As President and Managing Principal, Mikey is dedicated to driving growth and making a lasting difference in urban communities.
Outside of work, Mikey is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Jen, have five children. They live in Thousand Oaks, continuing to support and contribute to the community Mikey has always called home. Mikey’s story is a testament to how passion, hard work, and a commitment to giving back can transcend industries and leave a lasting legacy. His journey from skateboarder to entrepreneur and civic leader shows how one individual’s influence can shape both his industry and his community.
