RONALD BOYD DEVOE Jr., hails from Boston, Massachusetts, is a multifaceted talent, and revered as an entertainer, entrepreneur, and impact investor. His remarkable journey through the realms of music, business, and charitable endeavors has left an indelible mark on the world.
1983 with New Edition’s hit “Candy Girl” which soared to the #1 spot, eclipsing even Michael Jackson “Beat It”. Over the years, New Edition released seven acclaimed albums, featuring timeless classics “Cool It Now”, “Mr. Telephone Man”, “Can You Stand the Rain” and “If It Isn’t Love”.
In 1989, Ronnie, along with fellow bandmates Michael Bivins and Ricky Bell, formed the pioneering RB/Hip-Hop trio, Bell Biv DeVoe, produced chart- toppers “Poison”, “Do Me”, “Something in Your Eyes”, and “Run”.
Ronnie’s contributions to the music industry earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, lifetime achievement awards, with a recent NAACP Hall of Fame inductions and a New Edition biopic miniseries that captivated over 30 million.
In 2001, after residing in Los Angeles for 16 years, Ronnie relocated to Atlanta, activating his passion for real estate and became a licensed agent with Re/max, eventually establishing his own enterprise, DeVoe Real Estate. In addition to Real Estate projects, Ronnie and his team continue to explore and pursue creative value-add services around education, mental health, Veteran care and more to align with the needs of the communities he supports.
In 2006, Ronnie wedded the love of his life, fellow singer Shamari Fears from the group Blaque.
In 2017 twin boys Ronald III and Roman I were born, and the family makes their home in the Atlanta area.
