SHAWN SPRINGS founded Windpact, developing the award-winning Crash CloudTM impact protection prominently featured in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History exhibition, “Change Your Game,” as well as the USPTO Invention Hall of Fame. His innovations have enhanced safety across sports, military, and automotive industries, earning multiple NFL Head Health Tech Challenge awards and contracts with the Department of Defense.
He also founded InnateIQ, an AI-driven platform empowering small and medium-sized manufacturers to scale effectively. Shawn regularly invests in startups focused on artificial intelligence, industrial technology, and sports, leveraging strategic partnerships with premier universities, Fortune 500 companies, and an extensive network of industry experts.
Today, Shawn leads The Agena Group, utilizing its advanced AI platform to invest in and identify transformative ventures addressing critical challenges in safety, sustainability, industrial innovation, and community development.
Shawn played 13 seasons in the NFL. Drafted third overall in the 1st round of the 1997 draft, he spent time with three teams, the Seattle Seahawks, the Washington Football Team, and the New England Patriots. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1998, the Seahawks 35th Anniversary team, and was chosen as a Washingtonian of the Year for his impact in the community.
Shawn completed a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from The Ohio State University. As a member of the football team, he was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten Athlete and Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 1996.
His father Ron Springs, preceded him in the NFL, playing 9 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Born in Williamsburg, VA, Shawn attended high school in Silver Spring, MD and currently resides in Northern Virginia.
