Eric Dickerson
NFL Hall of Fame Running Back, ED29 (Foundation) & Hope for Housing Foundation

ERIC DICKERSON is widely recognized as one of the greatest running backs in football history and one of the most dynamic players ever to compete in the National Football League. Best known for setting the NFL single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards in 1984, a mark that still stands today, Dickerson combined elite speed, power, and his signature upright running style to redefine the position. Drafted second overall in 1983 by the Los Angeles Rams, he went on to enjoy an outstanding 11-year career with the Rams, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Raiders, and Atlanta Falcons, finishing with 13,259 rushing yards.
A six-time Pro Bowler, five-time First-Team All-Pro, and member of the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, Dickerson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. Born in Sealy, he starred collegiately at Southern Methodist University, where he was part of the legendary “Pony Express” backfield and had his No. 19 jersey retired.
Following his playing career, Dickerson became a respected broadcaster and executive, working with Fox Sports and serving in business development roles with the Rams. He also continues to make an impact off the field through the Eric Dickerson Foundation (ED29) that focuses on empowering underserved youth through education, mentorship, and community outreach and it partners with organizations like the Hope through HOUSING Foundation, supporting underserved youth and communities.
