Tarik Black
SVP, Business Development, OLOS

TARICK BLACK spent over a decade competing professionally in the NBA — including with the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets — and across elite leagues in six countries in Europe and the Middle East. Throughout that career, he was as serious about markets as he was about the game — studying investment structures, building early positions, and forming his own views on how wealth should be built and protected.
Today, Tarik serves as SVP of Business Development at OLOS, an AI-enabled private multifamily development firm solving the attainable housing crisis in partnership with faith-based organizations across Greater Los Angeles. OLOS unlocks one of the largest underutilized urban land banks in the country — church-owned land — to deliver workforce housing communities at speed and scale. It is the work that brought his background in business development, real estate, and capital markets into one place.
He is co-founder of BuiltIn Investments, an early investor in wellness brand Lemon Perfect, and founder of the Tarik Black Foundation. He holds an M.A. from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Memphis.
