JOSH HUMPHRIES brings over a decade of expertise in housing and economic development across the public and nonprofit sectors. Currently leading housing programming and policy at the California Community Foundation (CCF), he has been instrumental in the strategic rebuild efforts following the 2025 wildfires in Palisades and Altadena.

Prior to CCF, Josh served as Senior Advisor to Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and led the City’s Office of Housing and Community Development. His track record of innovation includes launching a public development corporation for social housing, raising over $400 million in capital, and pioneering modular multifamily construction in the Southeast. A dedicated advocate for tenant stability, he also authored Atlanta’s first eviction diversion programs and established the city’s Housing Help Center.

Josh’s career began in community organizing and workforce development in New York and Los Angeles. He holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminars and a B.A. in Philosophy from Kennesaw State University, blending deep operational expertise with a lifelong commitment to economic mobility.
