DR. ROBERT HICKEY is currently associate professor in the Department of Cancer Biology & Molecular Medicine at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope. Dr. Hickey received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Queens College of the City University of New York, and went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the CUNY Graduate School. He completed his post-doctoral studies at the Worchester Foundation for Experimental Biology in Massachusetts and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and held appointments as assistant professor and associate professor at the University of Maryland’s School of Medicine in Baltimore, before joining Indiana University in 2002. Before joining City of Hope in 2011, Dr. Hickey was at the Indiana University School of Medicine as an associate professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology in the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Hickey has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as multiple abstracts and book chapters. He is the co-inventor of more than 50 United States and international patents and has been invited to speak both nationally and internationally.
