The Legion Fund
The Legion Fund (“TLF”) is a charitable entity dedicated solely to assisting 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), an elite Green Beret unit based at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. The 5th Group maintains geographic responsibility for the Middle East and has been heavily deployed since the events of 9/11. This volatile geographic region creates unique challenges for the Unit, their Operators, and Families. TLF assists 5th Group Operators and their Families by supporting seven essential needs which are typically not funded or fully funded by government: Emergency needs, Merit-based Educational Scholarships, Families of Fallen Heroes (Gold Star), Medical Therapies, Child Care, Catastrophe Fund, and Team Building.
TLF is organized and operates to ensure the absolute minimum of administrative expenses. Over the 10-year history of TLF, more than 90% of our donations are made directly to soldiers and their families.
