WESTSIDE FAMILY HEALTH CENTER (WFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient Centered Medical Home offering comprehensive, high-quality, cost-effective healthcare in an educational and supportive environment. We serve almost 13,000 patients from 160 zip codes annually with 87% living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line.
As a safety net provider, WFHC's purpose is to address the health needs of anyone who walks through the doors, regardless of their ability to pay. Our vital services include family practice, women’s health, pediatrics, prenatal, Community Outreach and Education, oral health, and mental health. With all core programs located in a single setting, WFHC is a one-stop shop that addresses the interconnected health needs of all patients.
The majority of families WFHC cares for often confront significant obstacles to health, including domestic abuse, violence, exposure to environmental hazards, limited access to transportation, and food and housing insecurity, These challenges frequently contribute to or exacerbate their health issues, resulting in a significantly higher prevalence of chronic diseases compared to the general population. WFHC utilizes a patient-centered healthcare model that provides integrated services that greatly improve health outcomes.
We recently formed a strategic alliance with Bet Tzedek, the nationally recognized leader in providing pro-bono legal assistance to low-income people. Their services also include economic justice, family separation, guardianships, housing, elder care, wage theft, and so much more. Westside Family Health Center’s partnership with Bet Tzedek allows us to offer our patients 360 degrees of support. We are proud to offer this first of its kind program in Southern California.
